Dawn Landes is a Louisville-grown, North Carolina based singer-songwriter whose music you might have heard if you watch The Good Wife, House or Gossip Girl. Landes is perhaps best-known for her precise songwriting and textured vocals on her previous six albums and five EPs that meld elements of indie rock, alt-country, and folk. Songs such as “Try to Make a Fire Burn Again” showcase a singular ability to tell stories. She has penned original songs for plays (Red Light Winter) and feature films (Blackbird, Savage Grace, Familiar Strangers). Her 2014 album Bluebird featured guest appearances by Norah Jones and others, and won the 14th Annual Independent Music Award for "Folk/Singer-Songwriter Album of the Year." Landes has toured internationally and shared the stage with artists like Nick Lowe, Suzanne Vega, Mary Chapin Carpenter and many more. She's appeared as a guest singer with the NYC Ballet at Lincoln Center and performed on the TED main stage. Landes wrote the music and lyrics for ROW, a new musical that premiered in 2021 at the prestigious Williamstown Theater Festival and is available on Audible.com. Her newest album The Liberated Woman's Songbook is a collection of songs that highlight women's activism throughout history. The album was produced by her old pal Josh Kaufman (Bonny Light Horseman).
